“Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter— when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?” -Isaiah 58:7
Our Kingdom Building pillar is broken into two categories: physical and spiritual. Physical Kingdom Building helps communities to flourish by facilitating structural growth and development. With furthering the Lord’s Kingdom in mind, these physical projects include facilities for our partner Christian school, small businesses, and medical care. Simba also extends its hand to help build homes for families who have none or that live in extreme poverty. However, while building a home is Physical Kingdom Building, what we do inside the home is Spiritual Kingdom Building. This category encompasses our mission to show the love of Jesus Christ in the homes, businesses, and schools that we build, because our prayer is to see the lives of all who walk into them transformed. These are outlets for His light to shine and for sustainability in the community.
Funding Needed Projects
Mission House
COST: $110,000 (5,182 SQ FT @ $21.00/SQ FT)
We are currently looking for donors to fund a mission house for approximates at $130,000 fully furnished. This building will have 11 rooms, 6 bathrooms, a large dining hall/kitchen, and a large meeting hall up-stairs for a total of 5,182 square feet. The building would be located on a 4-acre plot that currently has our sewing operation on it and is owned by Simba’s NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) in Kenya. The amount of money spent in hotel fees from our trips will be able to help us further the Kingdom of God through the building of classrooms, medical facilities, and agricultural projects. We currently have $33,000 raised for this building.
House of Zion Administration Building
Cost : $49,000 (1,835 SQ FT @ $27.12/SQ FT)
This building will have four office spaces, two for administrative work, and two for counseling. It will have a small dining and kitchen. Also includes two bathrooms and one large conference room. This building will be used to help the street children and the redemption and reconciliation with their families. We have $25,000 raised and are looking for another $24,000.
Two-Story Classroom
Cost: $196,300 (6,900 sq. ft @ $28.00/sq. ft)
This project is a two-story building containing eight classrooms. The students are currently in iron sheet rooms and classrooms made from wood planks. The new classrooms are needed to help with the growth of the school and to help with the sponsorship. These classrooms will allow the ministry to keep finding children to enter in the sponsorship program. This building will double the school population from 300 students to 600 students. While the ministry waits for student population to fill the classrooms, the building can be used as a dorm or place for mission teams to stay and this can help save on costs for mission teams.
